As founder and owner of Amost Simple Home, I have always valued the importance of personal growth and serving the needs of others. These values are the building blocks of Amost Simple Home.
I was born with a knack for space planning and organizing. Growing up, I was always rearranging rooms and looking for something to clean out. Even now, any room I enter, I can’t help imagining how to recreate the space into a more efficient and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.
In 2003, I graduated with a degree in Interior Design. I studied in Los Angles, California and worked with well known L.A. Designer and Emmy Award winner Melinda Ritz. I then moved back to my hometown of Des Moines, Iowa and worked as an in-home organizing consultant for the Easy Living Store. Seeing the need for people who want to get organized and my love for helping people put a plan into action inspired me to start my own professional organizing business. I currently reside in Peachtree Corners, Georgia with my husband the cutest Chihuahua you’ve ever seen. 🙂
Much of my influence comes from Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus (theminimulists.com), Joshua Becker (becomingminimulist.com), and Marie Kondo, author of “The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up.” These individuals are all true believers of having a minimalist mindset. I highly recommend checking out their websites and books.
